Rumour Roundup – 8th January

Today I will be rounding up the rumours and gossip for 8th of January. As you know it’s a busy period for transfers, being in the January transfer window as lots of teams look to bolster their squad.

Chelsea are once again heavily linked with many players, and here is a round up of them;

• Sergio Aguero has been constantly linked with Chelsea in the past, and Carlo Ancelotti is a huge fan of his. But the Chelsea manager has been delivered a massive blow as Sergio Aguero has stated his commitment to Atletico Madrid. “Everybody knows my commitment to Atletico. “I Do not pay much attention to what is coming out. I am happy spending my fourth year in Madrid.” By the looks of things, Chelsea will have to look elsewhere for a new top striker.

• Dider Drogba’s departure for the African Nations has left striker without a top striker and in this window they are looking to bolster their front line with another top striker. Carlos Ancelotti could turn to the services of Luca Toni has he struggles in his second season at Bayern Munich. The striker was recently fined for walking out, after being subbed in a league game. Could Luca Toni be the solution to their front line problem?
