Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca shares his thoughts on team preparation and philosophy ahead of the pre-season match against Inter Milan.

“We have been working hard to prepare the players for our style of play and for the season ahead. Our football philosophy is quite clear. We want to dominate the game, which means keeping the ball as much as we can. I also like my players to take responsibility, to behave like leaders. This is a really important aspect of any team that wants to be successful.

“We have seen every aspect improving steadily, day after day, throughout pre-season. We learned a lot from each game and I'm very happy about that. I have been trying to instil into the players the importance of focusing on what we are trying to do, on our idea of football and from there, the results will come.
