"Offensively, we did a good game, we created 6 or 7 clear chances, but defensively we had some problems that we need to solve," Maresca said. "It's not just about the defensive line; we need to improve as a team in our overall defending."

Reflecting on the reunion with former manager Carlo Ancelotti, Maresca expressed his admiration: "We spoke before the game a little bit. Carlo, first of all, as a person, is fantastic, and as a manager, he's so good, so fantastic."

Noni Madueke scored Chelsea's lone goal, assisted by Enzo, showcasing their attacking potential. However, Maresca emphasized the importance of resolving defensive issues as they prepare to return to England: "Now it's finished here, finally we come back home, and this is important."

The team will look to build on their offensive strengths while addressing their defensive vulnerabilities as they continue their pre-season preparations.
