John Obi Mikel Sees Victor Osimhen Making Haaland-Level Impact at Chelsea

Speaking about Osimhen, Mikel highlighted the striker's potential and the significant impact he could have at Chelsea. He praised Osimhen's goal-scoring ability and physical presence on the field, attributes that could greatly enhance Chelsea's attacking lineup.

Mikel addressed the need for a striker who can finish, score goals, tap-ins, create chances and someone who is like Erling Haaland, and he believes Victor Osimhen could bring this to Chelsea.

Mikel mentioned he is constantly striving to persuade Osimhen to join Chelsea. “I keep making sure I am sending him those text messages and calling him...making sure Chelsea is his top priority.”

It's widely known that Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba are doing their best to get Osimhen on board, but the question is if our management and Enzo Maresca share the same enthusiasm about the striker. “He seems like he loves the club, he seems like he wants to come to Chelsea. He is somebody who gets us goals.”

There were some uncertainties about Osimhen's approach and professionalism, but the former Chelsea player assured about Osimhen's great personality: ''Fantastic guy, fantastic human being, and I really hope he comes to the club, and I try my possible best and make sure that this happens.

Didi is also speaking to him, sharing his ideas and what the club means to us. We all want to see Victor at the club.”

Obi Mikel also stressed the importance of winning at Chelsea: ''In Chelsea, you have to win, you have to win games, you have to win trophies. Yes, we've given them time, it's been enough time now. To be able to gel, to come together as a team, and to start playing much better.”

Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has been actively trying to persuade Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to join the Blues. Mikel, who enjoyed a successful career at Stamford Bridge, believes Osimhen would be an ideal addition to the team, especially as Chelsea looks to return to their winning ways.
