Maresca tells Chilwell to leave Chelsea

It’s no surprise Ben Chilwell could leave the club as he didn’t feature in the last three pre-season matches. Enzo Maresca admitted that his style doesn’t suit the 27-year-old left back.

Maresca spoke before the Man City game and revealed that when a player trains every day, but doesn’t get any minutes, it’s in the best interests of all parties to make decisions.

He was referring to Ben Chilwell’s and sent him a message.

"Probably it is better to leave and go and get minutes. The transfer window is open so we will see what will happen."
